The Smudge Pot Stroll
Stroll marketing to be included in all local Pear-a Fare advertising materials (including but not limited to, window posters, table tents, and print ad) announcing the activity one month prior to the event.
FSA will underwrite a portion of food cost for the event (The amount of funding available per location will be determined by the # of entries (3K budget)
FSA Stroll funding is limited to the first 20 applicants
FSA will provide signage for the day of the event indicating destination points
PBF will provide licensed OLCC server for wine/beverage service as needed
Participants to provide a location for the consumer to be able to congregate
Inside or outside on site locations are permissible
Each establishment needs to serve a beverage with their tasting which could be a non-alcoholic beverage or a wine or beer. The beer & wine must come from a supplier that is participating in the Pear a Fare tent. Wine & beer costs will be subsidized by the PBF of $50.00 per establishment. When the available wine & beer distributors are announced each establishment will have their choice.
How will it work?

ID Check prior to purchase and validated with bracelet
Tented venue price @ $15 per souvenir glass includes 10 taste tickets to be used under the canopy only
or
Consumer purchases “Stroll” glass @ $30 ea.to partake of fare offered at additional participating destinations located through out the down town core
Stroll consumers limited to 350
Stroll price also includes five tickets for tented venue tasting
Colored zone map of participating locations provided with designated starting point and indicated travel route to avoid “slamming”
Four Zones
Colored zone maps to be collated
Room for written notes and suggestions implemented in design
Colored map must be presented to taste at each location
Consumer travels route as indicated on map to partake of taste/snack size portions & beverages offered at participating locations
Participating locations/vendors (OLCC Server) will stamp the route map to eliminate consumer ‘double back’ possibility.
Consumers may visit as many or few locations as desired between 5-9PM.
.Zone maps are recovered from strollers with their choice of the best preparation tasted overall to be known as the Strollers Choice Award
Strollers Choice Award to be announced following the Pear Blossom Parade Saturday April 13th in the Pear a Fare Tent.
In addition there will be 2 American Culinary Federation Certified chefs & 2 additional food culinarians who will judge each establishment in accordance with ACF guidelines and present awards as well. |
